raupi already did a good job of explaining things here. Basically, threads are locked because they violate the forums rules. In the context of this forum, people struggle to remain constructive. We understand that users get frustrated and encourage them to provide feedback, positive and negative, but they must be constructive, respectful, and follow the forum rules.

If you have questions or feedback regarding forum moderation, you must PM a moderator.

SOP does not mandate closing posts by moderators. The majority of close threads do not have a closing note by a moderator - the reason for the thread closure is generally pretty obvious.
