What does it mean to get Perfect on a level in Fortix 1?

I don't know if it was in the tutorial or not but I don't know how to redo the tutorial.

I'm not sure, but I think it means don't lose a life. I assumed this was what it meant, so every time I died I restarted the level. In the end I got the achievement for all perfect. Hope that helps some.
