Sound FX garbled on template mod

After compiling a new mod from the MP Template, using VS2010 the sound effects for weapons are garbled. Only happens on that mod, so the problem is not related to my soundcard.

Any pointers?

Actually the problem disappeared on a second run.

It might have been the sound cache caching files on that first run.
