To answer that post: they could create a limited timed version of the game. Like, when you reach 200 turns boom, you are out of the game. Seems quite easy to me.

The result of all of this is that I'm here with the cursor of the mouse going over the add to the cart button and the icon of master of orion 2 of my desktop with the very strong doubt that this game is just a pretty version of MoO2 sold at 20€ (why you people keep saying 30? Did they dropped the price or they just love the place where I live?)

You can't even tell if the game is tbs or rts, "dynamic simultaneous turn-based gameplay", what's that supposed to mean ?
People have been playing it for months (we got a pre-order alpha and beta) so there's tons of videos out there for you to watch.
There's no way you could cover hwo a TBS plays inside a 90 second video clip. I watched about an hour of it before purchasing lol.

I think there should be a demo though. I approve of demo's. Any TBS/4x fan playing this will snap it up the moment they hit the demo's turn limit. It's incredibly addictive. I've played until gone 2am three nights out of the last week clocking up 24 hours in total on it in!

It's listed as $30 here on Steam for those of us using USD currency.

It depends on how you define good games.

Well, maybe you can't. I've almost never gotten burned on a release day buy regardless of genre. I have a good sense about these things, don't need demos.

200 turns is a bit much if you consider that a game lasts 300 rounds at maximum before someone wins.

I've won both games I've played in under 200 turns (both on the default small map size) but I figured the 200 suggestion was just an example figure. If you're asking for a demo you don't know how long the game is I guess so you're just plucking a number out of thin air.

btw, I'm not suggesting the game is short - those 2 games took me 24 hours in total, and like I say - small map.

I'm going to add my voice to the people who want to have a demo to play. The last good 4x game I played was Space Empires V (which...has a demo!). I'm thankful that I played the demos for Sins of a Solar Empire and Sword of the Stars, because I didn't like either of them. I didn't get Elemental: War of Magic because a.) Stardock has disappointed me hardcore in the past, and b.) a demo never came out.

So, unless Endless Space has a demo....I won't play it. I've been burned before, and I don't care to be burned again.

I'll also chime in that I'd really like to play a demo.

I don't know about that. Sure, it showed game play, but a lot of the stuff he didn't explain. I have no idea how the various mechanics interact with each other. If there was a demo, well then, I would be able to grok that stuff, and actually know if I want to play this game. Based on this video? Eh.
