VAC and Skins should something be done?

Valve games can force the use of unmodified skins with sv_pure 2 set on the servers.

No MW game seems to block the use of skins in any way. This makes it easy to use skins to cheat.

Is there any plan to introduce clean servers-lobbies to MW games to help prevent cheating.

I don't want to stop peoples ability to modify or make skins as doing it well is a good thing and should be encouraged.

What I would like to see is good skins, that offer no advantage being signed by valve and made available in the steam workshop.

Once this is done you could then block players with unsigned skins from joining VAC secure games.

This would remove the ability to cheat undetected forever in MW games and in sv_pure 0 games as well.

A large percentage of cheats use only skins and something should be done as they are never punished and unless obvious about it wont even get a server ban, if the game has servers.

Please consider this.

That's problem with developers of COD series. They can't establish a good game client security. Like you can open game's archive which contains skins and textures with just Winrar and you can edit all you want. And there will be no CRC32 checking or something. So miserable...

COD developers = fail.

Should something be done to stop the most common form of cheating that can't be banned for?

I think it's time Valve refused to let other companies use VAC if they don't implement it properly.

Vac doesn't ban for skins, so games using VAC have to have secure skin free lobbies or servers to stop cheating using skins. Something similar to sv_pure 2 that forces the use of standard skins.

Vac doesn't ban instantly, so you need administrators to ban cheats from games until Vac bans them or a vote kick system.

Games that don't have these features are open to cheating and Valve should refuse to let Vac be used with games that don't provide these two levels of cheat protection.

My guess is they are either idiots or intentionally screwing with things. Maybe both.
