Hi
I want to know what commands I've to change or add in my cfg in order to have all the in-game advanced options to low or none. Can anyone help me with that? best regards |

Why?
Just set the advanced Graphicoptions ingame, klick on "OK" followed by another "OK" or "APPLY" and they are saved, unless You made one of the following stupid mistakes: #1. You have set Your config.cfg to "read only" <- Stupid! #2. You have the mat_dxlevel command in one of your configs. <- Stupid! #3. You have set -dxlevel as Startoption. <- Stupid! Anyway here You go: Code:
model details: r_rootlod 0 - high r_rootlod 1 - medium r_rootlod 2 - low water details: r_waterforceexpensive 0 - single reflections r_waterforceexpensive 1 - reflect world r_waterforcereflectentities 1 - reflect all shadow details: r_shadowrendertotexture 0 - low r_shadowrendertotexture 1 - medium r_flashlightdepthtexture 1 - high texture details: mat_picmip -1 - extra high mat_picmip 0 - high mat_picmip 1 - medium mat_picmip 2 - low shader details: mat_reducefillrate 0 - high mat_reducefillrate 1 - low anti-aliasing: FSAA OFF mat_antialias 1/0 mat_aaquality 0 2x FSAA mat_antialias 2 mat_aaquality 0 4x FSAA mat_antialias 4 mat_aaquality 0 8x CSAA mat_antialias 4 mat_aaquality 2 16x CSAA mat_antialias 4 mat_aaquality 4 8x MSAA mat_antialias 8 mat_aaquality 0 16xQ CSAA mat_antialias 8 mat_aaquality 2 filtering: mat_forceaniso 0/2/4/8/16 mat_trilinear 0/1 v-sync: mat_vsync 0/1 Gamma: mat_monitorgamma 1.6 bright - 2.6 dark hdr: mat_hdr_level 0 - off mat_hdr_level 1 - LDR+bloom on HDR Maps mat_hdr_level 2 - HDR on HDR Maps Checkbox: Use "bloom" effect when available: ??? Maybe they are overwritten by another config.
Normally You don't have to write the Ingame Settings into a Config, but many people do this for different reasons (not many of them make sense). Search for these commands in Your configs (except the config.cfg), delete them and then set it once and for all by using the ingame Options. Glad to see this, because many people tend to do stupid things when it comes to Config changes and similar stuff. Greez KiloSwiss Last edited by KiloSwiss: 07-28-2012 at 04:09 PM. |

So far so good.
Now I want to ask another thing. my dxlevel is set to 90 but I want to change it to 81. Since you already told me that I should't put mat_dxlevel on my cfg neither put -dxlevel on startoption, what's your advise? |

You can use -dxlevel but then You have to start the game, close it and then delete the entry from Your startoptions.
That means You shouldn't permanently have -dxlevel in Your startoptions, just start the game once with it. But the easyer way is to set it directly trough the Registry, when out of the Game. Use these reg Files: CSSource_DXLevel.zip They are simple and easy to use. Greez KiloSwiss |
