TL2 Trading items via Steam trade ?

It would be good to link the game to steam trade like dota 2, Tf2.....

The game doesn't use secure servers, all the items are on located on your home computer where you can freely edit the files, not to mention that it is moddable. You could give yourself any item in the game for free, so it kind of removes the value of item trading over a system like that :/

Pretty much this. They would need to take Blizzards route and have secure servers like battlenet in order to ensure no item duplication is going to happen. Personally, after seeing the cluster♥♥♥♥ that was diablowhard 3 I would rather just let everyone be able to do their own thing and let me exercise my rights to ban hammer people that cheat from my games.

Yep. Steam trade for items like that is a bad idea, however you can still trade items with people you are in a multiplayer game with, so trading will still exist.
