ut2004 original onslaught server

Hey peeps,

Ive hosted this server because I cant find one that reflects the original game that was such a hit.

This server only lists original maps. I peronly dont enjoy the home-made/modded maps people host, as you cant play the game the way its ment to be played. Plus the home-made ones are lagy and full of bugs or atleast the big ons one seem to be for me.

Id love to see this game take off again. No other new games come close the the game play this offers. games such as mw3 or bf3 are such crap that I wish they just kept them on the consol. PC games used to be good for a reason now all new games are ports from consol so wft has happend to pc gamers? Well im still here and I still wonna play a good game. Dont be put off buy enthusiastic gamers, thats what PC gaming is all about!!!

Do you think you'll be able to compete with the likes of the Clan DW and Omnip)o(tents servers (and whatever beloved mods and custom maps they offer)?

its about game play not custom maps.

I take my hat off to people who make maps but I wonna play the game not sit in a cramped room spaming damage randomly.

If I wonnted that Id play bf3 metro 64.

That's not the impression I have of those servers and the maps. For example, one of the most popular maps on Omnipotents is called Magic Isle, which is a huge, wide open map.

Omni is 32 players, isn't it?

That rules out gameplay I like from the beginning.

I think your find that map was from the bonus pack. Also its a 32 player map. Id be happy to just get a 16 player server going first.

I could do with some help anyway. Ive just installed a new router with lower latency but I cant tell if people are able to join with the server link set to dnz. You would think so but Im not sure till I see a person join. Im at work most of the day so some feedback would be nice. thanks.

Anyway, I wish you good luck with your server. I came to UT 2004 late, so I wouldn't know what was and wasn't standard (other than Torlan and Primal).

I wonder what Blim did to get himself banned. From what I can tell, bans on this forum are handed out like speeding tickets at the Indianapolis 500.

I told a forum mod to stick it after removing a post that had nothing to do with the reason he gave.

Infatc he didnt ban me for that I toled him to ban me with some persuasive words. Bit stupid really but there you go.
