When to Install Dawnguard???

We have only just started playing Skyrim and are at about level 20.

Is there any point in getting Dawnguard now and adding it? Or should we wait till we complete Skyrim??

It's just that I'm not seeing any trend to the difficulties people are having. If I could see a common cause with the crashes and attribute it to factors other than the game itself, I would feel more comfortable installing it. For now I wait and observe.

Agreed. I would wait til it gets cleaned up a bit, judging from all the complaints. Who knows, maybe then you'll get it cheaper.

Buy it it's good , Thing is a forum like this tends to be people complaining (rightfully so) with problems . I'm sure the vast majority play it fine , i know loads of people happily playing it with no problems.

This is true. You can get a little pessimistic hanging around here.

I'd be curious to know about your rig and any mods you have. Successful installations can be as informative as failed ones.

I agree to a point. It wasn't so much as to the complaints... it was how many & how fast they flooded in that makes me cautious. So I'll take the measure of caution until I start hearing some good news, and fixes.

I bought it, but dont plan on playing with it just yet. Hey, it was an impulse buy. Chalk it up to 3 beers and idle hands.

Dawnguard seems to work fine on the vanilla game, however I encountered problems when running mods at the same time. Personally, I think that maybe it was a little expensive but in my opinion it is a good add-on for the game.
