Steamchat - looks offline

Lately I see people offline while they are online, and they see that too. Also, when someone gets online, I dont (always) see them go offline until I click the GROUP tab and then go back. Or maybe they are still online, I am not sure (as some of them go back online after a few minutes).

Anyway, I am not sure who really online and who not. It's quite annoying

Anyone else some problem or is it just me? (I do have the steam app as well, which works fine so far)

Pmed a Valve employee already and no response yet. It has gotten worse since the last beta patch went live (the current patch). Now my friendslist is a dead place, 2 friends online most of the time (out of 20) even though friends tell me they are online too and see me offline. I didnt talk to a friend abroad for days now because it keeps showing him as offline (no he didnt block me and it is not just him that never comes online).

Groups tab of the friend list often doesn't show any people in the group chat although there are.

2 friends just went offline again but I can chat with them on my iPhone steam app. Someone should really look into this.
