Smile Waited till this game was on sale

and It was well worth the original price.

This game was easily the scariest one I've played. Dead Space 1 didn't even stand a chance.

I can't wait for the second one to come out, because I'm hooked.

This game is one of my favorites now.

Glad to see you enjoyed the game. Now, to get rid of your guilt from not buying the game at full price, go buy the Penumbra Series on Steam. It's $20 (I think), and it's made by the same people who made Amnesia, and they are just as scary!

Actually my friend told me about Penumbra before I finished amnesia, and I watched the first one on youtube. The first game seemed like crap, but the second one is seeming to be scarier. I liked all the notes and such (stories) in #1. Watching the second playthrough now every so often.

Also dead space 1 was just on my top scary games list, that's all friend. (=

The first game wasn't 'crap', I think that might be a little harsh. It just wasn't as scary as the second game.

The second one is MUCH scarier than the first one, no doubt about it, but if you feel like avoiding it, just watch a playthrough on Youtube (Like you already have)

This game is indeed awesome. Its just too bad it has little replay value. I tried to play it again but i basically memorize most things in the game so the scare factor just wasn't there anymore, i know when the spooky things will happen etc. I even found myself so bored by it i was running circles around the monster lol.

I wish i could get brainwashed or something just so i can experience this games awesomeness fully once again. Someone hit me in the head so i get amnesia! haha.

I'd say that the replay value is pretty good, but I see your point regarding the trigger points.

Hopefully this will be addressed in Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs.

I agree. However there's plenty more fun to be had with an array of quality user made stories and maps. Try some of these..

I'm playing "Gary - Dark Secrets" right now and it's awesome.

I have yet to try any mods, but I'm really thinking abouts it. (:

Some of the mods are pretty scary and really fun, like Gary - Dark Secrets, White Night, La Caza, Abduction Chapters 1-3, just to say a few good ones ^^

Yeah I don't know if you can compare DS with Amnesia. Granted they are both scary with amazing atmosphere but it's totally two different types of scares. Amnesia gets into your head where as DS jumps out and says boo!
