Trading & Gifting Phenomena
Not sure if this just happens to me or not but very seldom when I set out to trade for something specific do I ever find it.
Along the the way however I get some pretty hefty discounts and free offers on some pretty expensive games that I never even considered purchasing so not all is wasted effort. Recently having cleaned out Steam's catalog with only about thirty titles left that I'd care for I've found it's just become more practical to freely hand over all of my excess giftables and keys to one of my three immediate friends and just outright purchase, for full retail, whatever it is I've currently got my sights set on. Trading seems like a decent way to build a library if you've just started with Steam but after a couple years and having seen it all - Rarely does anyone have what you're actually looking for. It would be cool if other sites like GOG, Gate and Greenman were to also open up Inventories for its members. |

but if you're willing to take less than the regular value, using the "Steam Wallet" request is one way to convert excess inventory to games you really want. Just a thought.

Kinda like I buy a $15 game for $5 and retrade it towards a game that retails for $10. |
