CS:GO on Linux?

If any of you have been following, Steam is or will be available on linux in the next few months.. The game they are launching with it? L4D2!

This raises an interesting question in my head... L4D2 and CS:GO are on the same engine... Is valve planning on releasing this for Linux as well? That would give CS:GO and interesting launch!

Of course they will release it on Linux, but not on the release day D:

It'd be cool if they did... making it the flagship game of linux... I mean why port it to Linux when they could currently be writing it for linux at the same time.. Since on release day they will have Mac version working.
