FOUND MY ISSUE!

Per the instructions on the steam page, I uploaded a single video and enabled embedding, and made it public. But steam never saw it.

Turns out, I had to make my entire channel visible, not just the video.
  1. Click on your username in the top right, go to My Channel
  2. Click on Channel Settings in the top left
  3. Click on Info and Settings Tab
  4. Click on checkbox that says "Make My Channel Visible on Youtube"

boom...steam now sees my vids!

This video will show you where I had to make the change.
http://youtu.be/anGBSqYA9nQ
Apparently they've also recently removed the ability to hide your channel...so once you make the channel visible, I guess it's permanent.

Ye its so weird, it only worked for me once I was able to upload my own video into YouTube and then share it on Steam.

I'm having troubles with this feature.

I *had* 12 videos on display. I only have 5 now. The others are either private/unlisted or deleted.

All 12 still show. I have even unlinked my you tube account from steam - but all 12 still show.

This is a MAJOR privacy issue.

I'd like for my steam videos page to reflect the videos on my account that are on display.

The update link on steam videos page should do this as well as the ability add the videos (which it currently does)

This is quite a serious error that can still show videos that are private. This needs fixing.

@Sidesteal:
I don't think this needs fixing. If you don't want these videos to show on your Steam profile, then remove them from there (click on video, click on "remove video").

It's similar to a forum post where you posted the link to your video. Just because you deleted or unlisted the video on Youtube doesn't mean the link in your forum post suddenly disappears, too. You have to do this manually.
