benq xl2420t vs samsung s23a700d

i want an 120hz monitor but im not sure which one to get. ive narrowed it down to the benq xl2420t and the samsung s23a700d. ive heard the samsung s23a700d has better colors but it is a glossy screen and i have a window on my right. the benq xl2420t has lower input lag and is not a glossy screen but ive heard the colours are not as good and that it has too agressive overdrive in place. i do not care about 3d. which one should i get? i currently have an Asus vs238h-p and want the monitor i get to be an upgrade picture quality and color wise, 120hz aside.

The only reason I'm thinking that the Samsung has "better colors" is because it has a glossy screen. And I personally hate them. I'd get the Benq myself.

The BenQ monitor is next to flawless for gaming. The Samsung monitor seems more movie oriented to me.

I owned the XL2420T for about a week and ended up sending it back for a full refund. While the input lag was next to nothing, the colors were absolutely atrocious even after spending countless hours calibrating it. I have since upgraded to a Planar 120Hz monitor and while there is a little bit of input lag (hardly noticeable imo) the colors are way better than any monitor I have ever used.

Ok, I just found a review. The Samsung monitor has more input lag, but is very smooth and free of color/motion artifacts. I guess it all depends on the games that you play.
If you need to emulate CRT latency for skilled action games, there's also an ASUS 120Hz monitor.

input lag

never underestimate the importance of lag, which is a cs players worst nightmare, and I need a new screen for my xbox anyway my tv has a heap of input lag even with the game mode on (its still very noticeable even with a controller which is quite annoying as you might imagine fml)

id go BenQ,
