Transfer of a save (please help)

I just got the steam version activated today, and I had the DRM free one the other day and was about 1/2 way through my second play through. I want to transfer my save since it doesn't pop up when I run the steam version.

Where can I find the save and do I transfer it anywhere in particular or just into the games steam folder?

Not a clue, but my advice is to look for a folder that looks like it houses a save, or an individual file that looks like a save. See if there's a file like that on the Steam version (if you made a new game, if you didn't look for the file that's missing) and then copy/paste overwrite it.

The LS.sav file.
That is the save path
