Spam Group Invites

I'm sick of people sending me spam invites to their groups. Why do these people who have absolutely no friends in common with me have the ability to send me group invites? I've gotten 15 or 20 invites in the past two weeks to pointless spam groups that have absolutely nothing to do with anything I do on Steam.

I can't set my profile to private as it will disable all my stat tracking that I've set up on multiple other sites, there needs to be something done about this on the other end. No one should be able to send out invites to anyone but people on their friends lists.

Anyone agree?

I'm liking this idea!

Sick and tired of bull♥♥♥♥ spam. I don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about their groups. Making group invites friend-only, or having "Only receive group invites from friends" an option would solve the problem.

So you want 15 or 20 friend invites instead?

At least with groups you can say "no, i don't want to go there" and click 'ignore'. If someone adds you, you need to start thinking "hmm, do i know this person?"

They would just change to friend invites.

I highly doubt that. Regardless of that fact Community REALLY needs a report spam button.
