SFM.EXE IS NOT RESPONDING

Hey Everybody,

I installed SFM a few weeks ago and have been using the program for a few weeks without incident. However now the game will not load...

When I click “play SFM”... the first window with the SFM logo appears for a moment... followed by a white load window... after that nothing happens. In the upper left hand corner of this load window is the txt, “Source Filmmaker [Beta] (Not Responding)”...

If I try to close the program I get the message “sfm.exe is not responding” “If you close this program, you might lose information”.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program however the same exact problem is occurring.

If anyone can help me out I would be extremely grateful. Like I said I used the program for over 100 hours with zero problems... and with the exception of when I was following Bay's tutorials I never used the Element Viewer so I don't believe I could have corrupted the program in anyway.

Thanks for the help

In case anyone was wondering I was able to fix the problem by erasing all the files in my session folder.

If you have the same problem just make sure to back these files up before you delete them and the problem might be resolved.
