Hello from the IT Department!

Morning (if it is morning where you are)!

Just a quick post to say hi. I have been lucky enough to get a group of accounts/licences for the Portal 2 Educator's pack and am just starting out, so will be posting links and pics etc to setting it up if needed and will add them in a new thread for teachers new to Steam.

Quick bio:

Been a Valve fan ever since Half Life 1, been using Steam for an awfully long time and revived it since I got my second macbook a few years back.

I currently teach computing, ICT and IT, with a new focus on games design and will be looking to start lessons in games design and combining this with maths and physics in the future. Portal 2 is just a start and we will look to develop classes into potential mini-communities with developers, designers / modders etc (this bit needs a bit more thought granted).

Am based in the UK and just taken on a new job as Director of ICT at an independent school, where we will be running the Portal 2 education package and trialling it over the coming year(s).

Will post as regularly as I can!

Jon

Don't envy Jon, envy his students. 'Cause the idea sounds awesome!
