Anakin MIGHT like getting copies of the cheats just for his own information - but I greatly suspect he just forwards them on to the relevant mod (Burtonj?), same as anyone else.
And I will probably remove that someday, because it has never been of any use. The private hacks I have reported to Valve have never been detected.

Anyway I get a dozen emails per day with steamcommunity links instead of real cheats.

Lol? Infinity Ward made it, Valve only distributes it alongside 2000 other games.

Yes, but who is the service provider for VAC?
Steam provide this service to IW or activision in order to make money.
They are responsible for the proper operation.
Just that it does not.

Valve gave Infinity Ward the tools to use VAC.
Infinity Ward seems to have managed to saw off their own foot with said tools.

Guess who might be responsible then?

Also, in your other post. Video's are not proof, it's clearly stated in the sticky threads.

Yes, OK Valve ist good...but....
I want to play without hacker.
Valve (resp. VAC) can not offer this to me.
The last days in MW3 were horrible and frustrating.
In nearly every game a Hacker.
Not only cute WH and aimbots...really bad hacks.
That's without fun. I decided not to play..

In my opinion .. when I offer a service I am responsible for.
I have to grant the correct implementation of the System and I have to improve it.

That's the lack at the moment.

I hope BO2 will be better....
But nothing will happen without pressure..

Black Ops 2 will not be better. Why do I say this? If IW and Treyarch have been using the same cheat prone engine for several years without changing it, what makes you think they're suddenly going to change now?

The onus is on the the actual creators of the game to plug holes that exist in their engine. VAC can only do so much in its identification and banning of cheaters. And others have said, VAC works in conjunction with server admins for the best possible experience, which CoD doesn't have. There is no cheat protection in existence that doesn't require that the game's creators actually continue updating the game to plug holes.

No Valve not this way.
It makes me sick.

VAC dos'nt work.
Only the "open" cheats are detected.
The Closed Sources are undetected.
Maybe a Member of Valve sell the Hacks too.

MW3 was the last game I bought from Valve

For your information, the game wasnt made by Valve, it was created by Activision. Valve is just redistributing it on Steam

Well if steam/valve truly cared for the PC gamer, why would they sell a game that has a history of poor support and poor implementation of VAC. I guess it just comes down to MONEY.....

Then people would complain about it not being on Steam.

You can't win with CoD fans.

Battlefield 3.
Not like anyone complained about it not being on Steam.

In any case, if the next CoD not being on Steam will mean your complains will go to the developer, as it should, I more than welcome the move.
Maybe that way you'll get your issues fixed.
