, i'd rate it at 8.5/10. due to gpu being limited in x4 lane..also my PC: i5 2500K @ 4.30 Ghz Corsair H100 liquid CPU cooler Asus Directcu ii GTX 570 Seagate 1TB 7200 rpm HDD 8GB DDR3 Kingston Hyper-X Ram Asus Z-68-V Gen 3 Motherboard Asus Xonar DG 5.1 Soundcard Corsair Carbide 400R Case Corsair 650 HX PSU DWA-556 D-Link Xtreme N pci adapter. Just for laughs, I thought I'd post my rig and see if it got better than 1.5 or 2. Here goes:
CPU Intel Q6600 @ 2.4 ghz Mobo Gigabyte P35-DS3L rev 2.0 RAM 6GB DDR2-800 dual channel GPU EVGA 560 GTX "Superclocked" 1GB PSU Rosewill 600w Case no-name Lucite Sound M-Audio Delta 410 Speaker Bose Multimate 2.1 DVD NEC ND-3550 Display Apple Cinema Display 22" HD WD 640GB SATA2 7200 RPM On a more serious note, any suggestions for upgrades, other than brand new CPU/MOBO/RAM? Believe me, I've tried. Problem is that temps at stock hit 60C - 65C under load. When I overclock it even modestly, say to 2.8Ghz, temps spike to 80C and keep on going up. Is that typical for the stock cooler?

I had a Q6600 SLACR (G0) chip and it OCs easily at default voltages. I had it @3ghz with a TRUE 120 (Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme) + 2x S-Flex fans for push/pull and it never went above 50C even after a long gaming session. Stock coolers are meant for stock speed, the moment you are thinking of pushing it higher, that's the moment you'd have to consider a good 3rd party cooler. CM Hyper 212 EVO is good, I have a Hyper 412Slim (replaced the crap slim push/pull fans for a Corsair SP Performance fan) and it never goes past 55C IIRC....haven't checked on temps for a while since it runs games and whatnot w/o issue.
