Dear Jimeth Lins a.k.a Cyclomer,

I'd like to request a tip of the day about creating fading animations.

Thanks in advance.

Tip of the Day #40- Using Constraints for Fun and Profit

In today's Tip, I show you how to lock orientation of two or more objects together so you can make them move together- for example, making two sentries move exactly the same way by only animating one of them.

A much more long-term compatible way to go about doing this is to lock the "root" of the master sentry to the slave sentry's root rotation. You get the same exact effect, but it's much more friendly when it comes to long-term edits.

And thank you for all of these videos that you have made! They've helped me sooo much with my Source Filmmaking journeys.

Where did you save the two files? When I apply it I get the pink and black texture that tells me it isn't reading the texture file.

Several people have reported this. Try putting it your "materials" folder, make sure you got both the VMT and VTF file out of the archive, and restart SFM.

Hi

thanks for all these useful tips!

I have to say that there's a better way to import models
link:http://forums.steampowered.com/forum....php?t=2824377
You need a dx90 & dx80 copy in order to see them in your model browser.

I imported Alien swarm and Portal files using this procedure, without any problem.

/offtopic I made this video using the overlay grid you uploaded.
