What was your old card? Can you also provide your full system spec, and what you'd done when changing cards?

I`m guessing you`re talking about an ATI card?
You could try removing all drivers, then reinstall the latest ones. It sometimes gets messy when you autoupdate drivers. And if you didn`t remove the drivers when installing the new card, that might be the cause.

Other than that, it`s really hard to tell what might have caused it without more system specs.
ATI has common issues with updating software drivers, but your issue could just as well come from something else...

no good taking a stab at ATi when ATi is no longer, it's an AMD card the ATi label has been dropped! If you read the post yes it's an AMD card but that may have nothing to do with OP's problem..

I have been using ATi/AMD cards for quiet some time with very little issue..

My money's on the OP not removing the old drivers before removing the old graphics card and now he has a mix of both Nasty esp going from NV to AMD or Vice Versa

IF that's the case use driver sweeper to remove all NV drivers (Some games May need to re-Install Physx system software) IE: UT3, Metro, Alice MR, Batman AC

As above, use driver sweeper and recommend also running driver sweeper a second time in safe mode
