ESEA and CS : GO
If you want to play competitively but you don't have a team, is ESEA worth it?
Is there an ELO-system like in dota or lol? Are there many games per day in EU? (PUGS) I know that you can play ranked but they only count some roundwin statics and only for a month which is pretty weird. |

EU ? Its nearly dead ( sadly....). I'd prefer ESEA over ESL, but no one is playing...so...dunno....

Play ESL - Versus in Europe, plus it's free.

I've installed the ESEA client, but in EU you only ever see one or two completely empty servers, so I wouldn't bother paying for this tbh.
If you're EU, just play ESL versus. Its free, and in EU its probably the closest thing to playing a competitive match if you don't have a team. And you'll likely meet people to play with at some point. Also its better knowing them in advance, because the biggest prerequisite is that you get along well, its so much more important than individual skill when starting a team. The ranking in Versus is complete BS though, because your winning rate will always be about 50% unless you play with a fixed party of mates. There is only so much you can do with random opponents in a random team. The "ranking" serves as a placebo though, so people tend to actually try to win and communicate, so its good that its there. |

My rotation:
20 - 30 minutes of DeathMatch 1 or 2 ESEA matches (pugs) wind down pwning noobs in a random public server ESEA does a pretty good job at evening the teams and keeping things organized. After about 3 months of having it I've become spoiled with it's work flow. |
