Basically in this case if you don't see "DRM: Steam" after it lists Windows as the platform then it's not the Steam one.

And by the way, once you download these Genesis games you can actually run the exe outside of Steam without it forcing the Steam client to load effectively making it (optionally) DRM free similar to how many games on Desura are.
Did not realize there was a Steam version of this. Thanks alot for the link. +rep

Was it added recently?

IndieGameStand: Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space

Quote:
Beat the Average!
Pay more than the average price paid of $1.54 to unlock this game’s Bonus Content!
Includes: Fan Favorites Mod Pack • Mac pre-Lion OS X Weird Worlds • Strange Adventures in Infinite Space Pack (Win 98/XP, Mac OS 9-OS X Lion) • Weird Worlds, Data Jammers & Brainpipe demos (Win) • The Music of Infinite Space • Digital Eel 10th Anniversary Gallery
Any of the extras actually worthwhile? I know it's only $.55, but taking price out of the picture and just considering the actual content.

Mods for the game can be found here http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/forumdisplay.php?f=130
Strange Adventures in Infinite Space Pack: http://www.digital-eel.com/sais/
I'm sure you can find the demos to those games on Desura.
I can't find the soundtrack to the game anywhere.

I don't think I need to pick this up but that's a summary of my findings

I always find it interesting activating keys on Steam for products that aren't available for sale through the Steam Store. Weird Worlds looks fun.

You get a steam key and you can activate it right after your purchase. Even when its not released on steam yet. It shows already up in my library.

Check your Indie Royale Collection page, or failing that, check on Desura and see if you can request a key. I haven't heard anything one way or the other about existing owners getting a key.

Sorry about the mishap. Aparenly there was a miscommunication. Keys for Caster are on their way.

Thanks for your patience.

Already did both.

I'll probably buy it to get the Steam key anyway ..

Got a response from them on their FB page

If they have records of everyone who bought the bundle, we might be able to distribute keys in some way. In any case we will release a patch to update the previous PC version to 1.30.

Good to know for those who are still interested in doing business with GG.

The Indie Royale came with a Desura key, correct? They can easily give out a steam key to everyone who has the game registered on Desura. That's how I've gotten several Steam keys for games that have been accepted.

If it was DRM free, then it may be a bit more complicated, but still should be easy enough to just have IR update the May Hurray collection page to include the key. If someone gave away the link or can't access that page then they'd be SOL, but that wouldn't be anyone's fault but their own.

It activates and downloads on Steam even though there isn't a store page yet.

I got a German Saints Row key from the Humble Bundle. Contacted Humble Bundle support about it but yet have to get a reply from them. *sigh*
