I used FrankenHUD for a while, but I always seem to go back to the minimal stock HUD. FrankenHUD is a good one though and they keep it updated.

I've been using kbn, and I rather like it. YMMV, though.

There honestly isn't really any better hud. I use garm3n hud http://www.sdx-gaming.eu/

Try every hud and see which huds you enjoy the most and switch between them. Also don't forget to check if your hud is updated constantly.

I use PVHUD, but at a very basic level. In settings there are crosshairs to use (I prefer default ones) and then there is an advanced section, with two columns, which I assume are to enable you to customise the HUD with parts you like. However failing to find an online guide for this I dont want to start clicking like a lab rat on meth and break something that works for me.

Is there a guide or is it time for some trial and error and if in doubt, reinstall?

I use PVhud, it's a nice blend between minimalism and aesthetics, showing all important information in nice, large, rounded numbers.

As always, ToastyHUD. And seriously, it's all into your likes.

I like eve HUD as well. The only thing I have gripes with is the tiny icon and name when you're healing someone.
