Great find! I'll be sure to add it to my autoexec next time I get onto my gaming computer. I can't think of any reason not to put this on, especially since the batching lets me know how much I've done total I can then gauge how much I need to hit to kill the person I'm shooting at.

Would be nice if the batching delay could at least be long enough to count bleed, burn and Lv1 sentries, but this is a good start.

Now that I see the delay is around 150ms between each shot (or rather 170-175ms since you say this works with Pistol too), this seems like the perfect command

Did you try to miss 1 or a few shots to see if this does reset the counter and confirm the delay? I'm gonna try it anyway.
Yes if you miss, depending on the speed of the weapon and how fast you hit another shot after you miss, a new counter will start.

So with something like pistol if you hit 3 shots then missed then hit 4 shots it would show something like a 35 next to a 50. I was just listing all the weapons that fire fast enough to have the stack apply. It's hard to say but the interval in whihc you can stack damage is probably something around 200ms or 250ms.

I tested it a bit too. Apparently the slowest weapon limit is the pistol, which may sometimes -- though this is rare -- reset the counter. So my guess is that the delay is around the pistol's one (the wiki says 170ms).

Anyway it works as originally intended: batch a series of hits that are too close to each others and become harder to read.

- Goes on another forum
- Sees a new and important information that the guy hasn't posted on SPUF in 1-2 weeks and for which he didn't even quote the actual source (reddit apparently)
- Decides to share this information to another large community
- Credits the forum (okay not the actual guy) for what he found
- Credits the example video that goes with it
- Credits other SPUF member for additionnal information

- Gets called for information stealing and rep whoring by a random guy with no rep that joined last month

... Are you for real? Do you even Internet?

(Also free bump for more people to see it )

Pretty useful thing. Thanks for sharing.

+rep

This should be stickied until VALVe decides to implement an option for this.

I posted this on the Pyro sub-forum, but I quoted the guy. Some people rarely go out of the Pyro sub.
