I am another mid 30's gamer. My father also plays TF2 and he is 58. My friends list is pretty much 80% populated with over 20's and I would say a good 50% are over 30.

I'm 40, been playing TF2 since Nov 2007...

I play regularly with several folks in their 30's and 40's, and one gent who's - as I recall - 61. All of them have varying levels of skill, as some of them are "gamers" and some just play TF2 because it's enjoyable and they have no interest in, for example, learning complicated jumps and such. I'm in between - I'm not normally too invested in video games but TF2 got me, and here I'm at a shade under 4100 hours and trying to figure out how to get into some form of comp TF2 even though I'm on the road all the time for work.

I play with a good group of people on a server that solely plays cp_lazytown_lazynite... yes, the map with a full load of players is pure insanity, but I find that only helps me when on a map with 24 or less players.

sorry about the mini wall-o-text, but this is a fantastic shooter and for the most part the community in-game is pretty nice.

Just turned 40 in October. Nice to know there are some older lads playing this awesome game ( err I mean hat simulator).
I once had a Vic 20 but my first game system was the Pong TV;yes a whole TV cabinet just to play Pong, you should look it up.
Just for nostalgia I have a working K-Pro with dual 5.25 floppies.

i personally love playing with older players, they're more relaxed/confused when things happen. easy going players, very friendly to talk to, sadly they leave a lot faster when children come on.

I think with most older players they play it as a GAME and are intro it to have fun and have a good time with friends. For me it's not about being the best quick scope sniper or causing a disturbance in game just for my own laughs. When I play I play as its meant to be played, go for the objectives, help my team win and play dress up.
I've been playing since 2007 and honestly I still suck, but I like the game and the community.

I'm 23, been playing since the NES days, but only got into PC gaming a few years back when a friend convinced me that Unreal Tournament was fun and I should get the new 2004 one.

I'm 36 and have played TF2 a lot since release 2007.

Started to play first person shooters when the first Doom game was released in the 90's. Remembered how we played a lot on the local network at high school instead of doing our homework .
And yes, I have experienced the 80's and all the nice games during that time.

I don't have time to play that much nowadays, but I really like the game.

My dad, who plays the game pretty regularly is coming up on 46 in a couple of months.
