Technically Heavy is a defensive class, so usually he ends up holding the line until he dies. However, it could be interesting to see how it works in actual play.

Despite what people have said, spindown time is an unlisted downside.
There are times when you need to abandon your current position quickly due to things like incoming critical ordinance, enemies charging your post, or noticing snipers taking aim, and a lot of the other classes can do that with explosive jumps or just base speed. The heavy on the other hand, suffers from a delay in his already-slow escape speed, and I've killed many a heavy due to the spindown, who's realized he's taken most of my clip in the face, and wont survive the next one. The guys at TF2 Tightrope have been working on this, and im expecting trotim or kaji-what's-his-name to post any minute now. |
