Maps with closed, indoor areas such as Turbine are pretty good for Pyro - and for Soldier, anything works as he's a jack of all trades.

Note for Turbine, Pyro's not actually really good there due to the map's linearity and openess (yeah you'll say about the vents but if the pyro can't get into the opponent's vents then it's useless).

I was playing on \TG/ Goldschlager last night. The map: Barnblitz. There was one pyro with a backburner that kept flanking and just wrecking us. That being said, it was a mid-quality pub game.
I've played against pyros who were good at airblasting before, and it was unreal. Quick burst of flame -- airblast -- airblast again when I run up, or juggle in midair -- Axtinguisher to the face. I have the utmost respect for guys who can do that. |
