Strange huntsman vs strange festive huntsman
Will the strange festive huntsman end up being worth more or less than the regular strange huntsman? super hard to call on this one. It will be arguably more common than the regular strange huntsman, but festives always skyrocket. a scrap for your thoughts? (no you dont actually get a scrap)

Strange Huntsman will outdo the Festive version, there is nothing saying otherwise. So many people are uncrating this year that these festives won't be worth nearly as much as last year's.

This. So many people are uncrating that they'll eventually become worth 1-2 keys, at the most.

In the short term, the regular strange huntsman may end up being more valuable.
However in the long long term, Valve has promised not to re-release these strange festives (at least in this design), while they can always re-release the regular strange huntsman. Either way, both will drop in value. The regular one will have its price lowered drastically because of competition from the strange festive variety. If all you care about is keeping track of arrow kills, why spend more than you have to? So if the s.f. huntsman is 5 keys or less, it'll be hard to justify charging 20 keys for the less fancy looking one. |

Not sure what you're thinking in assuming there are more SF Huntsmans out there than non-festive ones. Look at the stats for how many of them are out there in the wild, and remember that the festive crates disappear after the 3rd, while there are still salvaged crates out there.
Right now, 0.016% of players have a SFH, while The non festive Strange Huntsman is owned by approx. 1.43% of the playerbase. That means that unless they get 1000 times the number of Naught crates unboxed than have already been opened, there's no way in hell that the SF Huntsman will be more common. |

If I had the opportunity to choose I would go with the regular vs. the festive. I don't like wearin out of season stuff all year long.

Eventually, yes.
If you keep in mind that someday Valve will re-release the huntsman in some random future crate its price will drop. Plus, they could re-release the festives as well as any other stranges, maybe when all of them have received their festive version it could start all over again. But who knows which would take longer to happen. If both have the same quantity and availability I'd say the normal one is worth more. I personally think all those festives look pretty ugly, along with all those botkiller versions as well. |
