Why the Napper's Respite price is skyrocketing?

It will be retired along with every other hat, I'm expecting the early hats and or the festives (beak phantom crown spartan etc) to be retired next. Also Napper's is only in old crates. So a rise is justified in reality.

Most likely the spreadsheet owner has some though, I agree.

But seriously: When they appeared people were always seeming to get them in crates and I suspect people always craft them away as compared to other Pyro hats they are pretty boring. Only around 5.7% of players own one but this shouldn't make the price jump, if this was the case the Heavy Duty Rag should also rise in prices with only 5.6% of players owning one.

Has there actually been a considerable rise in demand, i.e. loads of people looking/trading for it in recent weeks, or is it just a case of certain people with trading interests going ''this is now themed or part of some unofficial set that I just came up with, prices need to be bumped up many times over immediately''.

If it's the latter, such arbitrary decisions that something is now more prestigious because it fits with something are ridiculous, especially if prices are bumped before the actual buyers swarm in.

If you're using the spreadsheet to determine an item's pricing, you're doing it wrong

scrap.tf and backpack.tf, or whatever, are cheaper alternatives
