Serious lip sync problems?...

Hi all,

Today I noticed the Skyrim now has some serious lip sync problems...I have tried disabling the few mods I have, and reinstalling the game but nothing has worked so far...

Anyone has any idea what could cause this...?

I'm having a problem with lip syncing as well. I've tried everything from disabling mods, up to uninstalling and redownloading skyrim. The problem is still there. (if it matters, I have dawnguard, and the issue didn't start till I got the dlc)

lol The bug has been in 1.9 beta, and they didn't fix it before live? That's so Bethesda.

er wait, dead topic resurrection?

But yeah, seems problem is prevalent in 1.9.

Yes there are lip sync issues.
This seems to happen when you have walked past and NPC who is about to speak, you hear them speak, then turn around to face them which seems to have a delay in the speech animation.
This doesn't seem to happen if you are facing the NPC and they speak but someties if you walk away then turn back to face them, the speech animation will go out of sync for the duration of the sentence till they start a new dialogue line.

I'm glad I didn't spend hours removing mods to try and find the problem. It's really distracting and incredibly annoying. Playing Skyrim is now like watching a foreign movie - I read the subtitles.

I think there maybe an occasional audio issue now as well where the NPC audio dialogue will cut out depending on the angle and distance the NPC is at when out of view.

Not sure if NPCs sit in bar stools still yet.

Oops, sorry for bumping an old thread - didn't notice OP was from last year. Still no luck resolving the 1.9 lip sync problem, hopefully some clever modder comes up with a fix.

Just chirping in. It's doing it for me as well and wasn't before 1.9.

Thanks for the heads up, as well. I'm glad I didn't drive myself crazy looking for the cause in mods.

BTW - for anyone interested I've started a thread in the suggestion forum asking Steam to stop force updating us. Any who are interested in adding to my request please do. I figure the more people making the request the more likely we'll get heard.

Cheers.

I have the same since 1.9. As always, they remove some bugs and introduce new ones.

I didn't think I'd ever say this, but even though this is such a bug-ridden game, I wouldn't mind if they don't bother bugfixing anymore. They failed over and over again, so they could as well just leave it.

Bethesda's head of debugging says:-
I know it's not broken but maybe we can do....something with it to make it better somehow.
Don't ask me how just do it.
