Skin/Model Maker

Can someone give me a link to download a simple program to create skins or models? Perticularly skins. I'll be new to it all but I just wanna mess around making some random things I want it to be pretty simple though because otherwise I'll just get bored of not being able to do anything - even with tutorials (like I did with Hammer).
