CAMP 2 is a Go!

The Community Assembled Map Project (CAMP) is pleased to announce our second release: CAMP2 Pack. This pack includes five maps representing a nice cross-section of play styles and themes. The maps themselves are considered to be some of the top Day of Defeat: Source custom maps available today and includes one brand new map! Although the CAMP team is wholly responsible for the content of this release it would not have been possible without the assistance, encouragement, and support from our friends at Valve.

Each map has been tested for exploits, errors, accurate scoring and all have been re-worked during this process by the original level designers or a designer-endorsed successor. The CAMP team itself is a diverse set of level designers, server operators, league managers, modelers, testers, and overall long-term community members who have worked together over the last few months to bring you CAMP2.

Every CAMP release will include high quality maps that explore different game styles as we hope to bring new vitality, interest, and variety to this great game!

Sorry remind me again,you have to download these maps to your steam account or i just look for those server listed that have them and can play them right.

You can do either. Most of the custom servers will auto-download the maps but if you want to download them yourself look at the graphic associated with the link and it will tell you if it's a zip, exe, or other. The zip file unzips normally to:

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\{your username}\Day of Defeat Source\

Make sure you check the "use folder names" checkbox.

Thanks FuzzDad,well the option of looking for the servers that have them would be better for me now,and the next time i play at the net cafe where i have DOD source installed.They look great too,that tunisian one would be great,so desert uniform of course right for both sides,and thats i first maybe or that i have herd of at theis time.

Better to load the whole thing from one of our linked websites. Server downloads will not download the map description files correctly. We have nice map descriptions. You should NOT MISS THEM!
