Forum Clean-up

First of all, I'd like to thank VALVe for taking my previous suggestion and creating the Publisher/Developer Discussions section in the Steam Games Discussion.

Since the Steam game catalogue is constantly expanding, I would like to suggest the following changes to be made to the forums.

Merge Amazing Adventures The Lost Tomb with PopCap Games, what's so special about this game that makes it get it's own forum?
Merge Company of Heroes and Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts into Company of Heroes series. *Fixed*
Merge Hexen, Hexen II and Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent Riders into Hexen series.
History Channel: Civil War should be before Hitman series. *Fixed*
Merge Medieval II: Total War and Medieval II: Total War Kingdoms into Medieval II: Total War series or Medieval II series. *Fixed*
Merge Rome: Total War Alexander and Rome: Total War Gold into Rome: Total War series. *Fixed*
Add new forum: Other Games Discussion for games not on Steam or games available on Steam that do not have a forum.
Add new forum(s): Frontlines: Fuel of War *Fixed*, Commander Keen.
Space Empires V should be Space Empires series. *Added: 21/02/08, 23:17*
Add new forum: Football Manager 2008. *Added: 12/03/08, 15:38* *Fixed*
Rename TrackMania United to TrackMania series. *Added: 17/04/08, 00:07*
Merge The Longest Journey and Dreamfall: The Longest Journey into The Longest Journey series. *Added: 27/04/08, 12:17*
Rename Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 to Brothers in Arms series. *Added: 01/07/08, 02:12*

Also, I think the sticky's need to be cleaned up, and updated and re-jigged. In all the sections. So they are more to the point, and not much to read for the new user, so the point is made and they can get along.

I'm sure if a moderator started one and stickied it, moderators would be able to edit it whenever a new suggestion was created. It needn't be up to a single person.

How comes all the HL games are not together as one? That would tidy it up a bit too.

I have been tossing around with this idea since even before I became a MOD.

I think you are underestimating the task though, -a lot- of idea's get posted and I seriously doubt it would be worth the hassle (since people with new idea's are most-likely to go straight to posting instead of looking around if it's been posted already, after-all we have a search function already).

It would probably also be very impractical, since vBulletin doesn't really allow for multiple edits (at the same time), seeing the amount of suggestions posted things would probably get overwritten and a lot would get lost in cyberspace. A Mediawiki set-up might be better in comforting this need.

Honestly I haven't gotten around to picking up idea's left and right, I only just barely finished reading through other entire forums to get a good idea of the job and how things are handled.

I will play around with the idea some more, but it will probably be better if some people stepped up and I would be happy to join.

PS I also think we have plenty (read: too much) of stickies.
