Awesome, had a look at this earlier. There's some great comments on both Aeropause and N4G relating to this letter, plus the usual Hammer Legion Member comments that are the norm these days!

I'm glad this problem has never layed to rest, and i'm also glad that the fight has continued on, despite the lengthy time we've gone through since it was released.

Brilliant, this is brilliant, as well as the ignorance to consumers over The Orange Box, here's more neglect from EA regarding 'Pro Street.' Which, might I say is sitting like a parked car in an identical situation as T.O.B. with regards to the respect the company is NOT showing to it's consumers.

Face it lads, They have taken the money they wanted from us. They wont fix it, Notice the website hasn't been updated for months, **** they even have a message posted saying happy holidays Dec 24th. 7 months ago. They are just another case of corperate greed. Real work and a "Healthy" game IE, no bugs, no freezes, NO FIXER PATCHES THAT DON'T WORK, The last thing they seemed to do was throw in a handfull of SUPER cars that completely destroyed the games balance. EA has become th singularity of failure, buying out all the competition, destroying the game companies that actually work on their games. Thus the Video Game Era is coming to an End unless we find a way to fight them. One last stand to save the Virtual World Forever. Vive La Revoloution!!

That settles it.

It's EA that's doing this in my mind.

At the same time, it doesn't mean it's all their fault. Valve knows EA's record with keeping up with PR.

Smooth move, Valve

If you don't like the way a company does business, you stop giving them your money. It's that simple.

You complain and threaten boycott, and yet you keep on purchasing. As if EA has any reason by now to respect your complaints.

I couldn't have said it any better.

I haven't continued to buy actually, The Orange Box was, and will be the last EA game I ever put my hands on following the way they have treated me.

I got Need For Speed: Pro Street as a gift last christmas, it's just as much a mess as the Orange Box and is yet to be playable past around 41% on most consoles/PC. EA have been aggressively against their consumers on supporting/fixing this game, sound familiar?
Yet I feel obliged to keep it as it was purchased full price by my wife, despite me NOT asking for it. To return it to the shop would be a little unkind since I would have only got the trade-in price, not a refund (Please don't ask me why, it doesn't need explaining if you understand how highstreet shops/purchase dates work).
