Stalled Downloads or Game is Unavailable
This issue can be caused by file names with non-English characters.
You can check by looking at the file names in C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\i-fluid\Res\V3D\V3D_REVB25\Textures To fix this, navigate to your Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Advanced tab Set "Language for non-Unicode programs" to English. |

I use a Chinese version of vista, so my default is Chinese, should I keep the change as you mentioned?

Jinwuyin: I don't think that would be a good idea if you run any programs in chinese.
What you _might_ be able to do is run I-Fluid with applocale. It's meant for XP and Microsoft's site will only let you download it because of "compatibility issues" with Vista (ie. you have to disable UAC to install it, but that's all), but once you get it running you can temporarily change the locale to whatever you need by making a shortcut to the program. I can't confirm this works though because of how Steam works. If you want to do this check to see if you can run ifluid directly from the exe. EDIT: Nevermind, it seems Microsoft lets you download it from their site with Vista as well now. http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/tools/apploc.mspx Last edited by Gene: 03-30-2009 at 06:46 PM. |
