Selling non-playable game. Thank you so much. At least respond and say what's going on.

Still no update? Might have to refund this game. This makes me sad as I enjoyed commandos/desperados and this was looking just as fun.

Hello Meridian4????
Two weeks since I last posted asking for an update and you don’t have the decency to reply?

Ok, I've had enough. You cant sell a product in 2011 which only works on 2001 hardware (the aa fix is ridiculous as it depends on slowing down the graphics to get smoothness). First refund ticket hereby issued, and I've got 268 titles on steam. Its the principle that counts btw, not the money.

Hah! It looks like there was an update, of sorts. Look at the System Requirements on the Store page. It now says "Does not support NVIDIA GTX 580, GTX 260 and GTS 250 Graphics cards."

The spec requirements are kind of vague. It just says it doesn't support "GTX 580, GTX 260 and GTS 250 Graphics cards." That's pretty specific--to the point that it seems the person who entered the change knows nothing about Graphic card technology. Does that mean it doesn't support those specific cards, but it will support 400 series cards? Or a 560? Or a 285? Or modern ATI cards? The edited requirements don't make much sense.

But Valve really should refund everyone who bought the game given that they now acknowledge it doesn't work on modern hardware. In fact, they should just pull the game from the store entirely given that MEridian4 really didn't do much to update the game to work on modern hardware and don't seem willing to either (Which is kind of par for the course with them, actually). Either that or put the warning that it doesn't work on modern hardware in much larger lettering on its store page.

I actually almost just bought this (a Robin Hood take on Commandos sounds awesome). Glad I checked the forums first.

I will not be purchasing another product from this publisher, they really need to take a good look at how they treat customers, it would only take a min to give some feedback on their progress good or bad!

Not sure if the game has been fixed or not. Lets assume not. (i dont know whether the game files are synced or not)

There were posted instructions on GoG forums some time ago how to make the game work smoothly. Fonts are the problem in the english version. To fix that means just to simply replace DATA\Interface\Fonts folder with the same folder from e.g. german version of the game. I did not try this with the steam german (or another non-english) version, because there was also the necessary Fonts folder included in the post (and I have not known about these steam language mutations until now and still, i think it only replaces the language files).

And it works. Played it whole weekend.

JeffM4, No issues for me. Steam and Amazon installs were perfect and game plays as I expect under both versions.

My Machine specs: Win 7, Asus, all-in-one, I5 quad, Radeon HD6470.

As most ppl i instaled steam version to find out how unplayable Robin Hood is after 5 seconds. Menus are fast as they should but the game is just bad stutter/lag. What is your idea meridian4? I want to like you but this is making fun of us, you also dont reply for (what almost a year now?)
Either tell customers how to make it work in the description, update it. Or stop selling it!

edit: going to try GoG.com fix. If it works I'll make sure to buy at GoG.com next time!

Got better but still slow when there are many elements... broken game.
