Disciplinary Action should get a passive speed bonus while equipped

Nothing really noticeable and doesnt stack with Haste, just something to help catch up with teammates who refuse to turn around or stop for a split second so you can get a mutual speedboost

Or TF2 can just do something about its wonky melee hit registration.

I think that's why they made it so that whipped teammates only have the boost for 2 seconds whereas the whipper has the boost for 3 seconds. On paper, it probably gives you just enough time to keep up with your teammate to whip them again to continue the speed boost. Because anything that isn't a Soldier or a Heavy w/out their speed boosting items (or a Demoman insane enough to use the Scotsman's Skullcutter) will end up outrunning the Disciplinary Action Soldier.

I once had a straight up 2 minutes long energy sword duel where we both kept blocking each other's strikes cause we'd both attack at the same time. We ended up just walking away.

PRESS B YOU ING CASUAL unless you already know to do that in that case the best thing to do is just tread water and try to move the fight in a direction of something that will help you get the upper hand like a ramp or dropoff.

If you mean that the soldier gets a small speed boost when the weapon is active, then I guess that's fine.

Nah, is much better having your teammate slapping you until hell freezes. I mean, the game is not the same if you don't have the "WAPASHHH!" as background soundtrack.

Which means no, the weapon is good as it is. Just stay close to your team and spam M1.

The disiplinary action is good as it is.

The real question is do the effects on the wearer during boosting allies happen when you hit enemies?

Wearer gets speed boosted, yes no?

Also, the Soldier weapon that needs a "on hit: speed boost of 4 seconds" is the Equalizer.

It encourages using the equilizer in dire situations more.

And also, the solder has the rocket Jumping.

so Soldier does not need passive speed boosts, but active speed boosts.
