Easy-to-read Aggregation of Feedback

CHET CHECK THIS OUT DUDE

They certainly wouldn't pay any mind to the thread because it looks like something constructed by a bunch of braindead vegetables.

-MEGATHREADS-

Netglow's thread: Netglow MEGATHREAD
May0man's thread: May0man MEGATHREAD
Smackdaddy's thread: Smackdaddy MEGATHREAD
rGghost's thread: rGghost MEGATHREAD
_Ares's thread: _Ares MEGATHREAD
Skuzee's thread on in-game leagues: Skuzee MEGATHREAD
ufear's thread: ufear MEGATHREAD
Cyrez's thread: Cyrez MEGATHREAD
Dare's thread: Dare MEGATHREAD
  1. This thread will be for YOUR feedback and YOUR comments.
  2. Do NOT get hostile towards eachother; if anything will get done, it will best get done through discussion.
  3. Leave your input on ideas that I have and that others have; this is OUR game!

-SV_CHEATS PROTECTION-
  • Remove sv_cheats protection from the
    fogui command
  • Remove sv_cheats protection from the r_drawtracers command (Bullet tracer Discussion (Author: Viris))
  • Remove sv_cheats protection from the mat_postprocess_enable command
  • Remove sv_cheats protection from the viewmodel_fov command
  • Remove sv_cheats protection from the mat_bloomscale command
  • Remove sv_cheats protection from the r_drawrain command
  • Remove sv_cheats protection from the stopsound command

Example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A34D4...el_video_title

-PERSONALISATION-
  • Allow players to edit postprocess.txt
  • Allow players to edit soundmixers.txt
  • Allow players to further alter the game's appearance through features such as LOD Bias

This editing proves pretty much vital to successfully customizing the game to a player's standards and allows for different sounds to be cut out because of their uselessness

-IMPROVISATION/REDESIGN-
  • Improve directional sound functionality
  • Improve bhopping and jumping to a similar style such as 1.6
  • Redesign the game's menus to make them more responsive and simple
  • Redesign the viewmodel animations and model origins
  • Redesign of the ID tag colours to the original Red and Blue
  • Redesign the radar player colours back to the original Red and Blue
  • Redesign the chat function just as it was in CS:Source, it was perfect
  • Redesign the killfeed order
  • Redesign the HUD money to look like 1.6 or Source
  • Redesign/reconsider the sound range in CS:GO, earlier I heard people getting shot in the face in B-tuns from Long; that's too much
  • Improve the jumping; not to where you can bhop, but to where you can actually jump reasonably for a few jumps. This would create a better balance between picking things such as mid on Dust 2 or mid-boxes on Contra.

These features are features that - yes, create a new game if changed around a bit - did not need to be changed from CS:Source or 1.6, they were perfect.

-MISCELLANEOUS CHANGES-
  • Remove the scope/movement blur from sniper scopes
  • Develop customisable HUD functionality like that of CS:Source or TF2; custom HUDs
  • Develop an alternative, more simple buy menu
  • Allow scoreboard toggling when dead
  • Disable the end-of-round popup and the MVP function
  • Rework the weapon spread and recoil
  • Include latency in the scoreboard
  • Option for the removal of physics objects (client side command!)
  • More ragdoll functions (helps performance)
  • Patch laggy model and shaky heads issues (see the master bug thread for reports)
  • Patch freezing in the menus
  • Patch the POV. The peeking has - instead of being a left-eye peek - has become more advantageous to people who peek from the right. Most everything is backwards now (POV Discussion (Author: Waoh))
  • Patch the de_Dust2 bomb plant glitch at A site
  • Patch the no-collide in casual mode; this allows for absolutely no interaction with teammates or other players on the map. (Casual mode no-collision Discussion (Author: Viris))
  • Patch the weapon_debug_spread_show glitch that allows a crosshair to be shown when equipped with an unscoped sniper Photo example
  • Consider support for a stock female model
  • Fix the name-change chat bug. Example: http://i.imgur.com/0SuGH.jpg (Thanks Hateface!)
  • Please, PLEASE add ping back onto the scoreboard for the PC version of the game. You should NOT have to use net_graph to see your ping.

-MAP SCREENSHOTS-

-DISCUSSION THREADS-

-OFFICIAL CS:GO SCRIM GROUP-

In order to get into the group, follow this thread and sign your name/steam community profile.

-FUNC_VEHICLE-

Judging by the community, it seems as if people really would like func_vehicle back into the game as a whole. While I don't believe that at this point in time it's something huge to worry about, if the community wants it, you should put it in the game. It looks like people are either func_vehicle or are withdrawn/aloof to the subject. What harm could possibly be done by putting such a thing back into the game? It helped mapmaking thrive in 1.6 as well as helping the game itself thrive. So, by common request, please put func_vehicle back into the game, as it will attract more people to the game and help it grow as a whole. Thank you.

-CS:GO WALL PENETRATION PETITION-

Sign this petition if you believe that the bullet penetration needs to be more like 1.6. There are some of you out there that don't believe that it should be like that, but in 1.6, it was a cornerstone of the game that really balanced it out and it honestly should be in the game. It's not a hard skill to learn/pick up, and it is very beneficial. Sign it if you want, don't bash if you don't want to sign it.

I've been following one of the bigger providers of feedback for CS:GO!

I will be keeping up with this thread many times a day by updating it, adding new videos found, and responding to your guys' feedback! Let's get Valve and HPE involved in what we want to do!

I agree with pretty much everything, but the r_drawtracers command.

Some people think this should just be removed from the game, disabling it client side is just putting you at a disadvantage to those who use it.

I dont agree with:

This as a permanent feature:
Remove sv_cheats protection from the
fogui command
Remove sv_cheats protection from the r_drawtracers command
Remove sv_cheats protection from the mat_postprocess_enable command
Remove sv_cheats protection from the viewmodel_fov command
Remove sv_cheats protection from the mat_bloomscale command
Remove sv_cheats protection from the r_drawrain command
However as a temporary measure to see changes I agree.

Improve bhopping and jumping to a similar style such as 1.6 as it's not very modern.

Redesign the chat function just as it was in CS:Source, it was perfect as I dont want it excactly like it, Id prefer it more like it but with a modern touch.

Remove the scope/movement blur from sniper scopes as id prefer it reduced.

Develop an alternative, more simple buy menu. As they've said that this is a beta one for console.

The jumping/bhopping style in CS:GO should not be "modernized" in that way; bhopping should be in the game.

The chat function in CS:Source is literally perfect; if you're playing a game competitively, you don't need the chat to look pretty!

As for the sv_cheats protection on a lot of these commands, it doesn't really need to be there. There is absolutely no reason to put sv_cheats protection over things that either 1. shouldn't be in the game or 2. should be customisable by the player.

The only command that puzzles me as to why it is sv_cheats protected is cl_use_new_headbob 0, all this does is allows you to use the legacy head bobbing animation.

Yeah, a lot of things they've done so far don't make too much sense.

You raise some good points.

Bunny hopping I got the wrong message about. i thought you ment ridicolous bunny hopping where you can travel stupidly long distances. I think bunny hoppings fine as long as it's controlled.

I like Sources I just think maybe it good be a mix between that and CSGO's current one.

I agree that these commands should be in there but I think some of them should be server controlled rather than player controlled.

I agree with the last point that you make, that's definitely a good idea.

Cool list, I especially agree with the IMPROVISATION/REDESIGN section.

Neither of those games were considered to be eSports titles.
