I came across this picture of a building

Name one reason why it wouldn't be perfect as a CTF map.

In theory, sure.

In practice, it'd basically be ctf_junction.

Looks like a Halo 3 map. Let's port some Halo 3 maps to TF2.

I remember a community map that had two connected buildings with office interiors but it was 5cp

Are both teams inside that 1 building, or do both teams get their own?

There has only ever been one good CTF map, and it is Convoy

Why would two rival firms who sent mercenaries after each other purchase a joint building?

The bases are connected through only a few tight chokepoints.

This sort of logic actually somehow works in the TF2 universe.

Four chokepoints, unless the bottom of the building is part of the map.
Honestly it might not be chokey enough, all the CTF maps typically have two ways to get between any two points.
Though I guess what matters then is the interior of the buildings.

It'd be super cool if the buildings were like normal buildings and were tight spaces with way too many rooms, but walls and floors were destroyable (though with a lot of health), and could only be restored by using a wrench to hit the steel framework left behind (then perhaps upgraded with more wrench hits).
Not sure if that's possible to do in Hammer though; destroyable walls and floors certainly are, but it'd look bad if they didn't show damage, and they'd need to leave steel beams behind which can turn back into walls and floors with some wrench hits.

Very brutalist. Did brutalism exist back then?

I had an old map design a bit like that, but the top of the buildings were still under construction, to give the map more open space.

Because that will totally be Junction 2.0 otherwise.
