Glass Scout challenge

Only able to survive 88 damage, and getting drastically slowed by even small amounts of damage, Scout with:
-Baby Face Blaster
-Pretty Boy's Pocket Pistol
-The Sandman
is like a glass cannon that's more glass than cannon.

So, can anyone here use that loadout and make it into the top 3 players list of a round without dying?

I tried the loadout and became the first in my team. Also I blamed him as a hacker and he kept saying "no". It was a fun time. #bestloadout2017

Isn't the damage vuln from the PBPP only while active though?

Yes. We could go on at length about the ridiculousness of combining the terms 'on wearer' and 'when weapon is active'(but let's not).

With Candy Cane, you will die from touching the edge of the splash of a liberty launcher rocket, but if you can avoid soldiers, the cane and pocket pistol gives you some staying power. I find it fun to play with Force-a-Nature, Pretty Boy's and Candy Cane.

Also I genuinely don't know if Pretty Boys and Candy Cane's damage vulnerabilities are while the weapons are in your loadout or only when you have them out. The descriptions seems a bit confusing. Is it just me?

Candy Cane's 'on wearer' downside is always active(as is, admittedly, the upside), which is why almost no one uses it unless the server is infested with Pyros and no explosive classes.

IIRC, it was popular to combine with the release-version PP as they sort-of canceled out each other's weaknesses(+15HP removed getting one-shot by 100-damage explosives, and easy extinguishes from small health packs made the 50%(IIRC) fire damage vulnerability on the pistol much less dangerous).

The 'When weapon is active' on the Pocket Pistol overrides everything else in the text. The easiest way to 'check' that is the fact that you do take fall damage whenever the PP is not actively held.

I think first you have to be able to make it to the top 3 of a round without dying. Unless it's a complete steamroll on 5cp, you are very likely to suffer at least one death. Even some of my "greatest" rounds had me die once or twice.

Oh, please. It's not like I said 'BB'. There's two other weapons in TF2 that could reasonably be shortened to 'PP', and none of them are equippable on Scout.
