Hammer Problems With TF2 Stuff

Hello, my Hammer can't find any of TF2 textures, models or entities. I'm using TF2 profile and yes, I have downloaded and played it. What should I do?

In Hammer, go into tools, then click on options.

If it looks like the image here then it should work.

Yup, it's same, but still, no effect. I still can't find any textures or entities.

look in the gameinfo.txt under the tf folder (steamapps\[username]\teamfortress2\tf\gameinfo.txt). Make sure the ToolsAppId is set to 211. And also, have you verified the cache?

Go into steam, then right click on any game (in this case, team fortress 2) then click on Properties. Click on the tab that says Local Files and then under that screen you can Verify Integrity of Game Cache. This will fix up any problems with the files that you downloaded. You can also do with the Source SDK.

in the game pulldown option in the green SDK window?

Ok. Open the folder Steam\steamapps\[username]\sourcesdk\bin\orangebox\bin, and open hammer.exe. See if that loads the textures and stuff.

If it doesn't work, open up the Source SDK and select Team Fortress 2. Then click Refresh SDK Content

That error only happens of there is a disruption in the file, even if there is one byte of data different to the gcf, it's like the file isn't even there, the reinstall should fix it up!
