I just thought of it!
I hope you can see what I see here. Think of previous tower defense games that you have played. What do you recall?
Epicly long battles where you finally accumulated a ton of towers and the waves are starting to get ridiculous and you must then upgrade to uber towers, yadda yadda. Tower Wars, can last 3 minutes... Send, opponent makes a mistake, game over... This feels more like a strategy game than a tower defense. Name of the game is "Tower" Wars. Yet, most of the game is decided by BP accumulation based off decisions 2-3 minutes into the game. Overall: Imagine you are the #1 Tower War player. Each game, you know exactly what units to send and create to win in 2-3 minutes every game. Now imagine that same scenario 2 months from now... Are you going to do the same thing over and over again for 2 months? There is no "war"... It's pretty much, send moopsy... Who wins? Ok, zoombot time.... Pepto time.... Game is decided too soon.... There is no "epic" feeling. Had maybe 1 epic game after playing 50 games. |

Hey, as the number one Tower Wars Player (laughing so hard right now), I have won a game in under 100 seconds, but most games are different than their previous games, and i do intend to play in two months from now.

You played 50 games and still havent figured out how to get games to last longer than 5 minutes?
If you leak moopsies you need to play better. I usually start with 7 moopsies, that way I have enough gold to kill everything the enemy sends unless he goes allin in which case he will leak way more than me. If you send more than 8 moopsies in your first wave you are doing something wrong (unless its the winter map, you can send 2 more and still have a good amount of towers). |

I have to agree completely with the OP. This game is shiny and all, but VERY monotonous, and I am already bored of it. There is a prescribed list of things to do, and whoever does them the soonest wins. The only shifting dynamic, being the mines, just adds frustration - oh look, now I have to do the exact same thing, at the bottom of the area, instead of the top...
Sorry if I seem to be moaning, but the game needs a VAST amount more to become more than a 1 week waste of $$. There should be different races, with different towers and tower abilities. The BP system should not work based on time, rather a mix of other game elements. Areas should be bigger, and more stable so players can practice defined mazes or build ideas. There should be a wider range of send creeps, with a less dynamic upgrade component - ooh look the same thing for 15min, except now with more hp... Please please please developers can we have some flavour! This is not anything close to traditional tower wars. |
