Is exoframe meant to be a reference to exosquad? Or is it just an obvious type of name for a giant robot?

Exo - exterior
Frame - Frame

Exterior frame -> Exterior skeleton -> Mech

I believe.

Yeah, that's why it's obvious.

But still, I think that Exosquad is the only show I've actually seen use that phrase (well, with the abbreviation "E-Frame").

And since I watch too many western shows instead of purely anime, it might be a reference to that.

So I want to know.
