3rd person camera mod?
I'm disappointed that OFPDR does not include a 3rd person camera. And I'm unable to find any mods that give you a 3rd person camera.
One of my favorite things in OFPCWC and I hope DR as well is to build big battles and watch them happen. Having a 3rd person camera makes it so much better to watch the action. Anybody know where to get a camera mod for allowing 3rd person on foot? |

It is unfortunate that you only get 3rd person camera available when in a vehicle (using Enter on the numpad) on MP & SP. It also only works when playing the normal or experienced mode. It doesn't work on hardcore mode.

There is a way to glitch it using the selectCamera function. when I get around to it I'll post it up for you. I'm pretty busy at the mo with other things as you an imagine but I have done it. Check out the D-Day Trailer on my website you can see it there. I purposely coded it like that to get the glitch. But I don't think there is a way to do it in the vanilla campaign.

Thanks for the infos. If you get a chance mdog I'd love to see an example of how you did that. I'm just 3 days into DR but have many years experience with scripting basic things and the editor in CWC and Resistance.

I can't find the file that i used to get the 3rd person view. I'll have to try and re tink it and work out what I did. I got some got stuff for imitating a moving camera also. It involves using a weapon like the M21 and scoping the weapon, so that you can look around adn direct the view as if it were a camera. The multiplayer cams in the editor are restriced to static angles unless you code it to move, but even then you cannot get them to move in a circular motion.
