I've been playing CS for years, and I have even played with transparent textures a few times to see what it's like. It's called getting a faster reaction time by aiming where you think your opponent will be. The less distance you have to move your crosshair over an opponent the higher the edge you will have. You don't need to play for more than a decade to understand these simple techniques.
