always wished there was a way to generally block friend/group invites. of course, since I put my profile on "friends only", they don't pop up anymore, since they can't find me.
Block all invites? then not even your friends could add you, only you could add them. Do you feel so special that they have to make an audition to be able to add you?
Good for you then.
But what if they feel so special too so you can't add them either? No way to add anyone. Seems like a good idea, I can't believe that Valve has't thought about it.

I won't do that.
I have met a lot of nice people on Steam, some of them are really close friends now and I know their real names etc. I won't stop that just because of a few bad apples. Isolation is no solution.

Since I only know 4 people IRL that use Steam and they are already added as friends, I am not adding anyone else in the foreseeable future. I also don't make "friends" online, as I only play with my RL friends and not strangers. So, yes, I would like a way to block anyone else from making friend/group requests, since I don't want to be random strangers "friend", or be in their group (I also would never join a group since you cant turn off group spam).

If I wanted to, I could always toggle off the "block all invites" if I really needed to invite someone. its not like the feature would prevent the adding of friends permanantly.

Anyway, doesn't matter since I have my profile on private, to avoid the random invites from attention starved individuals.
