Great players or cheaters?
I've encountered some players who always seem to know where I am and can kill me with a few shots as soon as I emerge from cover. Are they that good, or are they using hacks?
(Basically, I want to know if I'm really as bad as it appears )

Well, hard to tell really. Usually the kill/death stats of the culprit tells you if its hacker/cheater or not. Aka if he/she get something like 70/0 then something is quite wrong. It isnt the 70 that worries me but the lack of deaths you should look at.
There is some quite skilled players out there and getting 50-60 isnt uncommon .. especially as matches in Bullet Run last longer than pretty much any other game ive played. 70+ kills is where it starts being odd but can still happen if you run into a extremly skilled player. But even a extremely skilled player should have at least 5 deaths in a full match as well. If you find someone you think is genuinely hacking you can try sending in a ticket by: "1) help.bulletrunthegame.com 2) click on any of the thumbnails, Search the KB, Tech Support, or Account Billing 3) select Open a Support Ticket or select Chat Support 4) make sure to select the correct product, Bullet Run, and category, In-game issues > Community Standards" .. and probably best to have some evidence like video/screenshots too. |

Thanks for the comments. Based on what you said, I'm guessing my problems are mostly due to my poor skill. That, and my frugal nature which prevents me from buying weapons, skills, etc. I notice I rarely get killed by someone with stock clothes and an MP5

As you play you'll get a feel for unlikely places to shoot through or spy people to go get. It's just experience.

Indeed, experience matters a lot. And not just experience in the game, as people playing other shooters can get some quite "supernatural" skill over time. Of cause getting experience inside the actual game really helps .. you need to know every little nook and cranny of the maps for starters.
People are also very different so its importent to know what you are good at. General pointers: - Never EVER stop moving. - Know the situation. - mainly aim with the keyboard keys. The biggest "error" most players do when they see a enemy is that they stop moving and start aiming with the mouse (turning them into a giant easy to hit non-moving target). Aiming mainly by using the WASD keys you automaticly is on the move and a moving target is always harder to hit. - use the skills to the MAX (and know when to use em). Aka make sure to heal up etc. If you like close combat make sure to use the akimbo (dual gun = acts like a minigun but without the drawbacks). - Play clever. Someone sniping on top from the water tower? Make sure to stay down in the underground tunnels etc. - Play on your own terms and play how you like. We are all different and have different skills so make sure to pick the weapons and playstyle you like. |
